Delft is a city driven by knowledge, technology, and innovation. And naturally, the city takes great pride in this. That is why the annual TechTalk Expo has once again opened this week at Delft City Hall.
The exhibition showcases a range of remarkable innovations developed by various Delft-based organizations. This year, Reinier de Graaf Hospital is participating in collaboration with CrescentMed.
Together, they have developed a smart head-mounted camera with live-streaming capabilities. This allows surgeons in training to remotely observe exactly what happens during an operation, without needing to be physically present in the operating room. This technology enables us to train future doctors even more effectively.
Since 2020, Crescent Med has been collaborating with our hospital, allowing our surgeons to test and further improve the head-mounted camera in real-world clinical settings.
