As one of the instructors of the Asian Head and Neck Dissection Course in Khon Kaen, Thailand, Prof. Dr I.B Tan, an emeritus professor at Maastricht University Medical Center, joined this event in November 2022 and introduced the Crescent Vision Live. During this course, the Crescent Vision Live was used as a tool to stream the perspective of the surgeon locally, to screens in the training facility. This was done to provide a clearer view of the procedure to the participants in the room.

VRiMS, A virtual reality medical training organization, conducted a live streamed video training in Kenya to over 50 surgeons and trainees all over Africa using the Crescent Vision Live. The training was executed using a 360 camera, a PTZ camera, and a Crescent Vision Live.

Often referred to as 360° or 360VR video, immersive video is a type of video content that is designed to make viewers feel like they are inside the video. As a teaching tool, they may provide an effective, more accessible, and more cost-effective alternative to VR.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, educational institutions have been adapting blended learning methodologies. For instance, Gamification, Digital Simulation and Online Courses has been used as effective tools to move education online.
